She’s not doing so well

This is Mochii, my mini monstera, a β€œrare monstera minima” supposedly. She no longer looks like this 😰😭 every last leaf has yellowed and fallen off, the root system is long and relatively strong, all that’s left is a nub. What am I doing wrong w her? ☹️😭 help my baby! Those are leaves that fell off that stem but they were still green-yellow so I stuck em in there. I’m going to pull them out today and place them in my compost tray #MonsteraMystery #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #MonsteraMob #Monstera
How often are you watering it? And did you just pot her?
@TimelySpiderman yes I just repotted it, I water it when the top three inches are dry. I’ve had it since October 14, it was doing fine and then just changed
'rare mini monstera' i think you were scammed. There's nothing called Monstera minima, likely it's jist a regular Rhaphidophora tetrasperma.

Anyway, the brown seems to indicate rot. Could you pull the whole plant out and check? Sometimes they rot from the stem not from the roots
@Araceae I think so too! Because Greg identified it as a few other species as well! Either way, I’d like to learn what it is and fix it! I did check the roots and stem, no rot and rather healthy roots, they just aren’t balled up and tight, they are rather loose and long but good in color and strength
@PlantLadyyyP is it new or smt? Or like have you changed anything?
@Araceae it’s fairly new. I got it in October! I changed the soil because I noticed it wasn’t draining very well, and the yellowing and leaves dying . So I repotted, and eventually everything came off. Just a bunch of roots and A stem 😩
Unfortunately it looks like some sort of rot. The leaves you stuck in the soil will not come back. I would suggest throwing them away and also cutting off ALL yellow, brown, and mushy parts of the plant and roots and repotting it in new soil. It could come back if there’s enough to salvage! I have also lost plants to this and sometimes there is just no preventing it. Could’ve been anything that caused it to rot πŸ’“
Whatever you decide to do be sure to treat roots (and pot) with peroxide and use all fresh soil.
If you have roots you have hope.
Root rot?
Okay so it definitely rotted you guys! Not sure why or where it started but she’s done! πŸ˜”
