Gnat Sticky Traps that are Black!

I have an issue with anything a bright cadmium yellow and I normally put gnat sticky traps on my pots just in case my daughter overwaters them. πŸ₯Ί The bright yellow is too loud for me so I found black ones and guess what? They don’t stand out as much anymore! 😍 My focus isn’t the bright yellow but the green foliage! Did you know there were blue ones too??? Who would have thought there were black traps!!??? πŸ₯Ή

I use the black ones and they attract just as many gnats as the yellow!
I have seen other colors but as @jcPlantProper said, I’ve only used the yellow because apparently gnats are attracted to them. Let us know how these work! I’m intrigued 😊
Well, I was going to ask how they work because of the exact reason @jcPlantProper and @kscape mentioned.

Could you keep us posted on them?
I would be down for the blue ones! Aren’t they attracted to the bright color or did I make that up?
Ooooo Black 😍
Question πŸ™‹πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ
Can you see the gnats on them?Black on Black πŸ₯Έ I hope so!!

@FitSedum I love these. Where did you get them. Yes the yellow ones also stick out like a sore thumb too.
@KikiGoldblatt I found them on Amazon.

@AnnMarie420 in the reviews, you can kind of see the gnats because they are black on the black traps. So, you can see they are getting caught but there’s no contrast which is a plus for me. πŸ™ƒ
@FitSedum thank you.
@Yeeha234 I’m not sure what attracts them. I’ve watched them fly and just settle on the traps for a rest and get stuck. They have blue ones!
@PlantMompy I’ll definitely keep everyone posted! I currently don’t have gnats but I can put a trap outside and see how that works!
@kscape I definitely will! In reviews, the black ones trapped the gnats. There was a video someone uploaded so I think they would work. πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈβ˜ΊοΈ
@jcPlantProper that was one of my issues with the yellow. Not just the color but seeing the gnats once they were trapped. Mostly it was the bright yellow that drove me crazy. They just stood out every time I looked at my plants or walked past them. Did I tell you how much that color personally bothers me? I have problems with it! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ˜
@jaysjungle yes! I think it’s just a place to perch and get caught on when they are tired. I love not having the obnoxious yellow tags in my pots!
@FitSedum I am a fellow member of the 'over the top yellow haters club'!!!

Already ordered!!! Thank you so much for sharing this find!

When they arrive I can do a #sciencewithgreg side by side experiment #blackvsyellow
I don’t mind the yellow color…I just pretend they are blooms even on the plants that don’t flower! I appreciate being able to monitor the insect (gnat vs soil gnat) both inside, on the plant porch, and even in the prop boxes. I cut them down for those. When I’m working at the bench and get assaulted by a gnat with a death wish I’ll grab one from a pot and wave it around until I get it. A sick little game but I’m a plant momma so I gotta protect the family!!
@angelw1975 over the top yellow haters club! I love that!

I’m looking forward to your results!
@Yeeha234 I think that’s a wonderful approach. Yellow makes me feel anxious and it’s been with me since I was about 22(?) πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ I have some yellow flowers outside however i avoid it as much as I can. Your thought process is a very good way to look at it. I think I’d be okay with the traps if they weren’t so big or bright however I do prefer the black or even indigo or midnight blue due to my own laid back nature. Yellow makes me nervous. πŸ˜… I have problems. 🀣🀣🀣
Ohhhh yes! All black everything is my preferred aesthetic! Lmao πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€
@WickedValkyrie mine too!
