When we bring a new plant home it's best to let it acclimate for a few weeks or months before doing anything too drastic. If the pot or soil seem to be causing issues you can change them, it just might lead to more transplant shock.
If you don't like the look of the pot you can buy a cover pot to put it in!

I've had mine for about 2 months, and I'm debating repotting it today. I haven't pulled it up to look at it yet, but from the top, it looks massively root bound. If it's not root bound, I would give it a little time to adjust first. At least a few weeks.
