HELP IMMEDIATELY!!! Lucky bamboo disease spread!!
Two of my #LuckyBamboo have been dying and they started to stink. I left them in the pot with my other five (I forgot I guess) and now they’re getting it too.
I need to take immediate action! I took em outside to separate and they smell SO BAD. Like rotten eggs! Is there anyway to save em????
The other five have some healthy looking roots (the reddish color), but most of em are black/brown!

The smell was absolutely dreadful, but I cut the very tops of the tall ones since they weren’t turning yellow.
I also separated out the other five. There seemed to be three I could save (first pic). I cut any ugly or brown/black roots and put them in all separate jars with new fresh water (just in case one has rot but the others don’t).
Thankfully though, if none of the original three make it, I have three others I’ve previously propagated and two have roots!!🥰 (second and third pics)

@tunnybiger Nice! Hopefully everything survives. You can also spray the roots with hydrogen peroxide to kill any possible left behind bacteria.
@danisgreenhouse when mine started to stink like that they had rotted inside out. Get them out as soon as possibleand any healthy ones cleaned p the roots They should be a light golden color. Report those and fresh water them. Use different soul and new rocks if they are potted in them. I was only able to save on stalk bit it has grow 7” since. Good luck. Mappe apphe app

I take the plant out of its water/rock home once a year and rinse the roots off well. Sometimes people forget to rinse those roots. Imagine propagating a plant in water and NEVER dumping it out and adding new water? Ewwww

I regularly had replaced the water. The problem was I had cut it low down by the roots so it could fit in this new pot. Then it rotted and I neglected it and it spread to the others😭 lesson learned. Don’t neglect.
Now I have the top little nubbins of the ones it cut. How should I take care of them? (Lol they look so sad) they’ve been out for a day now

@FunKeylimetree the roots of my lucky bamboo have always been red to yellow (until recently with the ones I cut. They turned black/brown). I’ve trimmed the roots of the current survivors to only having red and yellow roots (they got quite a “trim”)

@tunnybiger I hope the come back for you. Mine did but only one shoot I want to buy another one. I don't know howw howow hownow howif I want to go through that rot again. Boy howdy, did thattvever stink like you said
