What’s wrong with my monstera?

I have my monstera in my classroom, and I noticed that some of the leaves are curling and coming in yellow. What am I doing wrong?

It could be either it needs to be repotted because the roots have overgrown the pot or the type of soil/ underwatering
What Danielle said. I have two monsteras, one big one and a pup, they both share the same pot and they began fighting to the death in there, the pup began shriveling up and leafs turned yellow. They just needed a bigger pot and more space to expand (that is, if you water your plant properly!)
@onegreenthumb Your Monstera looks quite healthy to me. The smaller older yellow leaves may have turned as the plant was acclimating to the new environment or you may have watered too much in the transition. The curled leaf looks to me like a new leaf unfurling. That is totally normal. Your Monstera is pushing out new growth. It will unfurl the same way. This is a good sign it likes the location you have it in. The leaves on your Monstera could use a wipe down to remove the hard water spots. Eventually you might want to repot your Monstera. You could check the roots to see if it’s rootbound. Monsteras roots are usually quite hardy. You would want to gently loosen the root ball a bit to let the roots stretch into the new soil. Monsteras like a chunky soil mix (soil, perlite, orchid bark & or charcoal) Your new pot should be 2” deeper & wider. It could be a fun project in your class. Keep us updated how your Monstera is doing. πŸͺ΄β€οΈ
