Dying? Maybe?
So I inherited this poor monstera from my mother, it was left by the people who rented her place before her. She was wilting and dead and drowned, so I trimmed her back and dumped out the water and checked the roots. What else can I do? Should I trim more? Repot and take it out of the LECA? Repot with drainage and leave the LECA? Help please! #Monstera #adansonaii #help
20ft to light, indirect
8β pot without drainage
Last watered 8 months ago
i, personally, (so take this with a grain of salt, lol,) would repot with drainage but keep the LECA unless you have a reason to believe it is hurting the plant. i also notice that your swiss cheese vine is listed at 20 ft to indirect light, which sounds like it may also be an issue. they like bright but indirect light best. iβm reading that although LECA is fine for them, a well draining peat/ coco fiber soil is best recocomended for reviving them. best of luck!
@jonathan1124 thanks! Yeah itβs in my office which has absolutely no natural light so I have it sitting under a grow light.
@Victuses oh wow i wouldβve read that if i had only clicked the more info card
I had gotten one of these earlier this year. It was so full and beautiful. Even my husband said he liked it because it was so nice. I seen it starting to fail and tried everything trying to keep it alive. Today I have just a few pieces of it in water trying to get it propagated and coming back to life. #BeforeAndAfter
@CalitoCarolina same thing happened to me and even the pieces I have in water have brown and yellow tips
