#PothosWater Questions for the #GregGang!
πŸ‘‹πŸ½ Hi all! I wanted to make a post about questions on how #PothosWater is working for you and your plants! I’d like to collect information (I know this isn’t THE best way) about how other #Greggers are using #PothosWater!

❓Questions :

β€’ Do you use Pothos Water for #waterpropagation or to water your plants?
β€’ How many cuttings are you propagating to make your own Pothos Water?
β€’ Have you noticed significant root/leaf growth after introducing your plant to #PothosWater?
β€’ Have you noticed β€œpotency” of Pothos Water decrease after Pothos cuttings (the ones producing Pothos Water) have established roots?
β€’ How often do you change or have to change your water for your #waterpropagation?

βœ… If I have more questions, I’ll edit the post but for now, can y’all help me answer these questions? I really do appreciate it y’all!πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’– Thanks!! πŸ”¬πŸŒ±πŸ’§βœ¨

Does this count? Adding pothos to my fish tank helps decrease the nitrogen naturally! 😊
@sarahsalith woah! Yes this definitely counts!! Thank you for commenting! πŸ˜πŸ’–
I use pothos water for props and to water my plants. I changed the prop water every 3-4 days and then put that water into my plants. I noticed a leafless stems has more potency then stems with leafs. I’m currently using one small stem with my silver sword prop and putting that water into PPP and both are benefiting and growing roots.
@LatiTish84 Thank you so much for this information! Helps a ton πŸ”¬πŸ’§πŸŒ±πŸ’–
@Leensha-Lou has been using it!
@PlantyPlanter ooo thank you for tagging them! πŸ’–πŸ’–

I used pothos water to encourage new growth on an avocado tree that had its top chewed off. It seemed to work really well, with three new leaves opening in a week! Then another animal chewed them off again, so seeing if it will work a second time 😣
Ummmm stupid newbie question, but what it pothos water?
@John01 Thank you for showing interest in #PothosWater! πŸŒΏπŸ’§πŸ˜Š

In simple terms, #PothosWater is the water that holds your Pothos cuttings when water propagating. Pothos water is filled with nutrients that can be used to help your plants!

I made tons of posts regarding the science behind a cost-effective, easy way to propagate cuttings at home (with Pothos!):

@kscape oh this is amazing info!!!! Thanks so so much!
As you know, my new fave is putting pothos cuttings right in with a new prop…built in pothos water! I’ve only one it once but so happy with the results.
Glad you posted because I’ve also been thinking…if I convert my pothos to semi-hydro with pon or leca and keep a water reservoir in the bottom, wouldn’t that give me a constant stash even without propping? 🧐
I’ll let you know if/when I try it!
@Indoorgreens Thank you so much for your information!!! This honestly helps a lot and your mini Monstera is looking FABULOUS 🌿✨😩
@ESylvanus Ooo! Glad Pothos Water helped bring back your Avocado plant! Sorry it was eaten again but hoping it will help again! πŸ€žπŸ½βœ¨πŸŒΏπŸ’§
@lemrobs Yessss! We love propagating with Pothos cuttings! πŸ€©πŸ˜πŸŒ±βœ‚οΈ

Please let me know how that works! I’d be so interested! πŸ€”πŸ”¬
@kscape I also throw a pothos cutting in with all my props like @lemrobs.
If I can remember I’m gonna try to collect my pothos water tonight I have quite a few cuttings that will forever live in water because I really enjoy the look, I’m gonna start using it to water my struggling plants and im gonna try to water my Monstera with it today!
I need to do an update. Some ZZ Lucky cuttings I got from @ShinyBudew (with pothos in the water) have already started to root. And I've heard ZZ is 🐌 SLOW !
@ThePlantDadLife oh WOW!! YES ZZ’s take MONTHS to root! at least 2-3!!!
Pothos water worked for me! I had a polka dot begonia cutting sitting in water for 2 weeks with no growth, I thought she was going to be a dud. I put a pothos cutting in the same container out of οΏΌοΏΌcuriosity and two days later had little root nubs.
I have 8 philendron cuttings rooting with pothos cuttings. Two ZZ cuttings and 2zz leaves growing nice roots with pothos cuttings.
Potted up my purple heart cuttings that propped with pothos.
A couple of Monstera adansonii cuttings rooting in with pothos cuttings.
I also use Pothos water to water my plants.
Pothos water is liquid gold πŸ’–πŸƒπŸŒ±πŸŒΏ
@kscape I have actually used pothos water to water my plants. I didn’t want to waste it. I’m still propagating these guys. Rubber Plants , philodendron Brasil, marble queen pothos.

2nd photo Jade. They are slowly growing roots.
@kscape I change my water every 7 days and save it to use when it’s water day. I have seen significant growth in the roots. When I change my water today I’ll take some photos and tag you in it.
