Morning! I think this is root rot at the base of my BoP. ...

I recently eliminated the spider mites. But now I think there's another issue. I noticed small flies when I water. ๐Ÿ˜”
5ft to light, indirect

@RestfulBaibua80 Definitely a repot! The size is fine but I would replace the soil with a chunkier mix and use 1 part hydrogen peroxide to 4 parts water sprayed on the roots to treat it. Use sticky fly traps and monitor it from there. If there are still flies in a week or so use neem oil on the leaves and wipe it off. I hope that helps and please send progress! โœจ๐ŸŒท
You can't lnow for sure if you have root rot unless you check the roots.

The Fascist gnats [fungus gnats] are attracted to fungus that grows in moist soil. You could use mosquito bits dunked into water, and use that water on the plant. Keep applying until you're sure that there's no adults left, and perhaps use for another month to be sure
Thank you @WalkingJasmine and @Araceae! I'll repot, use the peroxide mix and continue the neem oil.

I completed the repot! Here are what the roots looked like. The really soft black ones fell off. Thanks again!
Well done, @RestfulBaibua80! Nothing like a repot of a plant baby ๐Ÿ‘Œ Good luck!!! โœจ๐ŸŒท
