Hey! Can you share more pictures so we can assess a bit better? There’s a few possibilities for types of flies & seeing the plants condition can help determine what you’re dealing with!
Hi !! @EconomicMum89 if they look like the pic below… Fungus gnats! πŸ₯ΉπŸƒπŸŒ±βœ¨ it’s okay I have a zillion! Here’s how we can treat: life cycles are 5-6 weeks so that will be the length of these pests (I’m sorry πŸ₯Ήβ€οΈ). Sticky traps (like the yellow butterflies you may have seen) or my fav is Zevo traps. Honestly I use both, some images below πŸ₯³πŸŒ±! Next the best thing is going to be be to treat the soil- you can use the systematic house pest control that’s sprinkled into the soil (pic below too). You can also use a mixture of neem oil and water and soak the soil. You’ll need to repeat this step 1 time per week Best of luck!! I hope we can help find out what those black flies are and figure out a solution like @elisenavidad said :)✨🀩
@EconomicMum89 it does look like fungus gnats. The simplest step is to water less, and when you do bottom water. They like the damp soil at the top of the pot.
