Leaf Discoloration

My regal shield leaves are starting to do this, does anyone happen to know why? I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Thank you in advance!
1ft to light, indirect

Hi Alexa! Does your plant have access to good air circulation? Discoloration of the leaves can be from lack of good air flow, lack of nutrients (when was the last time you fertilized), or it could be a sign of root rot.
If you are willing to make a bit of a mess, you could inspect the root ball by removing all the dirt from the roots. You will be able to see if there are mushy or unhealthy roots. If you find unhealthy roots, you can cut them off, wash what is left of the root ball, spray the roots with a hydrogen peroxide solution, and replant in NEW soil.
@theloveofplants wow thank you so much for taking the time to help me!! I will inspect the root ball and see what’s going on. Thank you! 😊
@DaringKalopanax - You are very welcome! πŸ€— I am happy to share any insight that I can!
@DaringKalopanax P. S. If you not done so already: it would be best to cut off the leaf that is β€œinfected.” 😬
