Just bought this plant on clearance because it needed some love. Any advice on how to bring it back to life?

4” pot with drainage
Last watered 7 months ago
Put it in a sunny spot and ignore it for two weeks. Let it acclimate well. Don't repot it or it'll lose leaves.

It might lose leaves anyway because it was moved.

It is now your job as the Croton rescuer to give the plant everything it desires and needs or it will drop leaves.

Too much water? Leaf drop.

Not enough water? Leaf drop.

Temperature change? Leaf drop.

Draft? Leaf drop.

You don't bow down before it? Leaf drop.

You're in for a treat. πŸ˜‰ Crotons are dramatic!
Wait, did you already repot it? Your info card says β€œno drainage.” This plant will absolutely not survive without drainage in his pot. Sorry to be the Debbie Downer.
@SherrylComella oh woops! The pot definitely has drainage. Don’t know how that got switched
I try to grow these and never can 😒 they don't like me
@sarahsalith love your response. So true, reminds me of my prayer plant.
@PrettyBlooms we all have plants that don't like us. Ivy and string of pearls for me. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
I have several of the Croton family and this one is a Mamey. Mine love the humidity from a humidifier and they sit on a tray of wet rocks as they bask in the light from my southeast window. They will definitely speak to you when they need something or you give them too much. Have fun learning your new Croton 😊 They love one one attention ❀️
