heirloom cactus dying, need help

#EasterCactus

I got this plant about 8 months ago, and it has seemed sad the whole time. I repotted to well-draining soil and placed it closer to a window a few weeks ago, and now the leaves are yellowing and falling off.

Bought a humidity measurer yesterday to make sure it's getting enough water, but it seems good on that front

Any idea what's happening here??

The pot doesn't have a classical drainage system aka holes, but it has a "reservoir" at the bottom where extra water drains to. I feel the drainage shouldn't be an issue :/

Hello, there, hopefully you'll see the bloom soon as we're about to reach Easter!
Personally I do not believe in gadgets as it brings its own set of issues as the sensor-stick typically metal and water is polar... And the sensor measures close to the bottom humidity which can show false-negative information.
Typically if the soil is dry to the touch, the soil can be watered. Depends on the plant, with some need to check up to 2 top inches for dryiness before watering. Not the case here.

With this type of plant regardless if it's: Easter, Christmas, the roots form at the bottom of it's individual segments and with the vague photo it's hard to see what happening in the middle, but it seems the plant is somewhat dry.
You could try misting with distilled water in the morning to increase the humidity.
You really should not water these plants too often. β€œ Water when the soil is dry” works for some plants but not for succulents, which like to be dry for long periods
@Floristsdaisy they need bright, indirect sunlight
Thank you @ZingGoldenhill
I rejuvenated an Easter Cactus last week that had been dried out, and it looked a lot like this. Floppy, falling leaves, and browning areas. I’d suggest soaking it from the bottom, if you can. I did that for a few days, just leaving it in a sink so it could drain but absorb when needed. A few days later, the base was extremely hardy, very green, and the previous problems had practically disappeared. To help further its recuperation, I misted it every single day and it has only gotten better. So, I’d just say, try to water it more adamantly, and maybe soak it as well. It could be a different case for you, so do your own research as well with these specific β€œsymptoms”. I don’t think this cactus is lost though. It can definitely come back.
