It's overwatered. And DONT DO THAT. Just because it has brown tips doesn't mean it needs 3-6hrs of direct southern sunlight. The poor thing will burn unless adjusted.
Repot, remove rotten roots, use fresh soil, use pot with drainage. Next time, only water when 50-70% of the soil from the top is dry [use your finger to measure]
