Happy #FreshLeafFriday. I'll just got a couple I'm pretty proud of. My R. decursiva put out her first dragon leaf. I've been bummed out lately about orchids, as I just can't seem to get them to thrive when so many say they're so easy. But I did see one of them has a new leaf coming in! That was encouraging.

It's under excellent lights . @wolfwoman they're 600 watt Samsung ion beam grow lights that came with my ac infinity tent .

Happy #FreshLeafFriday! My Cliff Maids put out her first bloom of the season! I wasn’t sure if she would survive the winter on our balcony, but she made it! ☺️ My variegated dwarf banana tree is pushing out a new leaf, and my Syngonium confetti is also pushing out a couple.

I'm new to plants but I saw this calathea zebrina in the store looking terrible so I had to get it. I loved its velvety leaves. When I got it home I cut back all the brown and just hoped for the best. Now I've got 3 new leaves unfurling!

Let’s see . Both Ficus have new leaves getting ready to unfurl. Then there are both of the ZZ plants with new growth. And bringing up the rear is the Philodendron Birkin can you find the two new leaves trying to liberate themselves from their sheaths?  And I am happy to report that the fungus gnat plague has almost been overcome.  Today I just stuck a few matches into the soil of the most stubborn pots and the most resistant gnats will be vanquished.  Gnats hate sulphur!! Well that’s all from my neck of the woods. Have a great weekend and stay safe!

More #FreshLeafFriday goodness. My cannas came back this year. Overwintering them was more an experiment for me, and it worked. Very happy. Smaller one is ready to bloom soon. Finally figured out that it was humidity that was keeping my syngonium red arrow from being happy. Getting a larger terrarium for her.

Your monstera leaf looks so cool 😎 beautiful collection. I have my 1st leaf with secondary fenestrations on my monstera and a brand new BOP leaf since it’s repot a month ago. My regal shield is a beast and gives leaves non stop. The alocasias are synced up cause my scalprum is doing the same. She just gave me the leaf beside it. I say all that to say I love springtime 🌱🪴💚💚

This is some sun stress on the west side through a screen lanai. It’s still early in the summer, but if it gets too much sun, I can move it to a higher level.    It’s a sunrise hoya. With a couple other different ones in the same pot as well just for fun ￼

@AGFox  that's cool the 3 in 1 pot . Do they seam to grow good together or is 1 taking over ?  I was thinking of doing 2 clear planters like that

@TheConservator ￼ I am not real sure how they will work out together all three and one pot. I think the black red and silver colors will be great. ￼It’s only a 4 inch pot, but they do have a lot of grow room on top as I used an old CD holder for a trellis. I’m guessing whoever grows up the most will keep the trellis and I can just repot the other two if necessary, but I think I might be getting some flowers soon. We will see what the trio does. I’ll keep Greg updated on the new leaves and growth. I’m still in a learning process thank goodness the plants are working with me.

@AGFox The combo looks good 👍. Only problem I see, there are 3 plants in a 4” pot, the growth above the soil line is basically immaterial. The roots under the soil line are what matter and they might compete for space. Definitely worth keeping an eye out.

@PlantMania, yeah, hoyas are so tricky sometimes. Have yet to see sun stressing or flowers. But still beautiful to look at. My girl has a bout with some mealy bugs, but I have been treating her. She's still looking good, so far.
