Slight root rot on Monstera Albo
My new monstera albo just arrived in the mail this morning. He had a little bit of root rot that I think developed during shipping. I trimmed off the rot and cleaned the roots with water. I’m now letting them dry a little bit. He’s going to be in LECA. I’m going to go get some Superthrive to give him. Any suggestions on anything else I can do or something I should do differently? I’m a bit nervous because I’ve never had this expensive of a plant before. 😬
Thank you!!

Hope your new Monstera does okay. πŸ₯°
@Pegster Thank you so much!! I hope so too! πŸ₯°
LECA is a good idea for your situation! Hope it fixes itself and grows ✨🌿

btw. The roots themselves look semi-healthy so trimming off the rotting part was a good idea!
@kscape Thank you so much! Good to know I’m going in the right direction!
@kscape That’s good that the other roots look healthy! I didn’t want to cut off too much, but I made sure to get all the rot.
@bluebladeliger I agree with @kscape πŸ’―
