My Monstera is putting out two new leaves. My Birkin put out this cool leaf with this variegation on it and then my Monstera Albo’s latest leaf. She unfortunately had thrips so this leaf looks messed up, but I treated her with system and granules in Captain Jack’s dead bug, so hopefully that gets rid of them.

Hi everyone! I’ve been on Greg for a while but this is my first time commenting or posting anything. I figured I’d participate because I’m super excited that I found a surprise bloom on my violet yesterday! It hasn’t bloomed in quite a while so I think I’ve finally found the perfect spot for it 😄

When we were in Florida I found a Pink Princess at a decent cost as well as a Birkin and Brasil and two kinds of palm, all of which I will show later plus the hedgehog aloe my daughter picked out for herself. I don’t even have permanent places for them yet til my husband finishes the 2 living room shelves we are putting up and order the grow lights. However, they are doing well on the kitchen table with bright lights overhead and bright window about 4 feet away. (Other more needy plants got to that window first.) They are all making new leaves but this is the most prominent and it looks like this leaf is going to have a lot of pink. That's what my monstera is doing.  Got it as a ragged leaf and a bit of root in May.  I gave it a while to get more roots in water and then potted it.  It had 2 more leaves now.  When does it start that beautiful splitting leaf thing?  Can hardly wait!

I got the soil from the Etsy show where I purchased the pings.

I have them all in windows but I did move this one under a light a few weeks ago for winter, might do it with the rest 😂

I have them all in plastic with holes in the bottom and always in a tray of water. I do let the tray dry now that it's winter.

On a whim 2wks ago as I was cleaning out outside pots from my summer flowers I dug up a couple somewhat alive looking leaves.  I thought… well if this little guy survived the frost/cold and I like it’s cute little leaves I should bring it inside and find out about it.  It came from a Walmart flower pot arrangement someone got me.  I have learned it’s a periwinkle and after 2wks inside it’s putting out new growth 😍. It did lose most leaves that were killed by the frost but these couple surviving leaves closest to the roots wanted to survive!!

@Hypsie I LOVE the Christmas cactus in the kitchen aid! And I’m in awe of your blooms! That is one of those plants I’ve always had a hard time keeping alive, much less getting to bloom so beautifully! The one I have now is so sorry looking I almost feel bad even keeping it alive 😂
