Am I overwatering this avocado?

0ft to light, direct

Avocado needs a lot of nutrients. As long as there were nutrients in the seed, your avocado was growing fine. When the plant run out of it's "food" the leaves became like this. You need to repot to a bigger pot with fresh soil. It's difficult to grow avocado in a pot. I tried once long time ago, and had results the same as you here.
If you want to grow avocados in a pot, I deeply recommend watching β€˜Scott grows an avocado’ on YouTube. He has tonnes of videos just about avocado growing and has made me finally successful! These look like dry brown leaves to me, which could be too much heat or underwatering. Check his videos out you won’t regret it!
UPDATE: for anyone else trying to grow an avocado from a pit! So all 4 leaves dried up and fell off in rapid succession but the stem still looked good so I left it alone and kept watering it on schedule. And a few weeks later it’s growing new leaves! So maybe kicking off the original leaves was just part of it’s cycle? πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ I’ll keep reporting back!
