Chinese Money Plant stems breaking off?
I added a Chinese Money Plant to my collection a month or so ago. It’s been doing fine, and even sprouted a new little leaf within the first or second week. This week, I went to check on it and touched a leaf, and the whole stem broke off at the base! A few of the other stems are sort of brown looking. I sat it outside to get a few hours of morning sun. I’m thinking I probably just overwatered it. Any advice? #advice #help #ChineseMoneyPlant

Hello! Are the stems mushy and weak to touch? I do think it might be a case of overwatering. If you are able to, I would definitely recommend checking the roots for root rot. Hope everything will be ok!
Sometimes the oldest bottom ones will naturally get yellow and come off. And if it’s growing sometimes it needs nutrients, mine definitely benefited from fertilizer. Also, these don’t like to sit in soggy soil. It could be overwatering, especially if there is no drainage in the pot. It took a bit to figure mine out, but once I had it in better soil that dried out and enough light, they took off. Hope that helps 🪴
Agree with above, mine have leaves that fall off frequently. I also moved mine outside for a bit and she’s a happy plant now;)
