Does anyone know how to get the fake flower off my cactus...

0ft to light, indirect
4โ€ pot with drainage
Last watered 1 week ago
Lori, how is the fake flower attached? Can you see that? It is hot glue, superglue, etc?
@theloveofplants Iโ€™m not sure I bought it from Home Depot and itโ€™s stuck pretty good.
Dang guess u canโ€™t see it in my pic. Iโ€™ll get a better pic when I get home
Hereโ€™s what it kind of looks like. Bright fake flowers.
Hmmmโ€ฆ.okay. Do you have any isopropyl alcohol? Take a cap full of alcohol and add the liquid to q-tips. Take the q-tip and soak the bottom of the flower where the glue is. This will slowly dissolve the glue.
It wonโ€™t harm the cactus!
As you are applying the alcohol to the glue with the q-tip you can gently wiggle the flower using a set of tweezers. Continue to repeat that process until the flower slowly lets go from the plant.
From what Iโ€™m reading it appears to be hot gun
Ok we will try that
@HotBlueoatgrass - | No it will not harm the cactus. Here is a YouTube play by play. https://youtu.be/OGLCcS8zU4A?si=eBHTXXge3GiTM7kd
If you would rather not use the isopropyl alcohol, then you can use a pair of small scissors to slowly wiggle the flower off the top. Here is another YouTube video not using the alcohol. https://youtu.be/otmfQUFna2Q?si=QpNp2zQl71SBJ8is
I also got one from home Depot with a fake flower
