Stillborn leaf?

#RoseCalathea my Bruce grew a great leaf on a new sprout on the right, but it totally passed the growth of the leaf on the left. In fact, the leaf on the left feels dry and a little crusty at the end. Is it possible it’s dead already? And if so, what do I do with it?
2ft to light, indirect
5” pot with drainage

I seen a video about spritzing with distilled water uncurled leaves to make them uncurl.
If youre referring to that leaf
@Buymoreplants I’m looking at your baby…how is the humidity levels? I actually got little readers for humidity levels (on Amazon) and I’ve grouped my brat pack together make their own microclimate (I think that’s the word). I’ve personally experienced issues with misting plants, I’ve never had any success with pebble trays. I also have a small apartment but summers are KILLER here (we can get up to 120-125 here in AZ).
@SvelteDevilsivy I’m in Az too 😊 I think the humidity is ok in there although I haven’t checked it with any tool to be sure. But it’s in the bathroom and it is grouped with four other plants and I have a little humidifier in there so I think it’s ok?
@Buymoreplants hello neighbor, didn’t even realize that. Those plants are just brats and tbh I usually end up killing these ones and I love them so much. Humidity has to be like perfect, I’ve heard the use distilled water but I use a water conditioner off amazon that I water my plants with and I use happy plant fertilizer that you can use with every watering. I have a pinstripe, a Freddy and 3 #CathedralWindows that are doing pretty good. I’m gonna follow this post close, I’d love to have another Rosie but…lol
Oh and I’ve almost managed to over humidify too. Go figure.
@SvelteDevilsivy hi neighbor! Yeah I was a little worried about this guy but he was so pretty I couldn’t resist. Maybe I am over humidifying πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ but that little leaf on the right grew so great he seemed pretty happy. I just don’t know whether or not to try to get that crusty leaf out or just let it ride. I obviously don’t know what’s going on down in there. I use tap water but I let it sit for a day or so before using it on the plants. And I have been using We The Wild every watering but I’m switching it up to Back to the Roots fertilizer so we’ll see what happens with that
@Buymoreplants love we the wild! I have the need oil and gloves. I just realized I think I missed something. The unfurled leaf..like literally looks like a cinnamon stick? Ahh..could be fluke..cut that baby off and monitor. Otherwise I think your baby look good. (Better than anything I’ve ever done lol). You should like you have a great set up and IMO using great products.
@SvelteDevilsivy I love the neem oil too - it makes them look so pretty! I have spa days every two weeks with my brood πŸ˜‚ and yes I’m talking about the cinnamon stick looking leaf that just hasn’t come out. I’ll see if I can get it out without hurting that big leaf. Fingers crossed!
