Any tips for a new Monstera mom?

Have been hoping to acquire a #Monstera and came across her all alone at my grocery store for 50 % OFF! I have trimmed off the broken stem, is there any hope in it rooting?

Congrats! I have to run out, or I would write up a whole thing for you, but I can’t right now. I can however share my fave plant guy with you. He’s awesome and knows his stuff!

For a Monstera cutting to root it needs to have at least one full node attached. Judging by the picture, it looks like it unfortunately broke above typically where the node is which means it will not root. However your original plant will be perfectly fine and should pop out another leave soon.
@HisLobster Thank you for sharing, his videos are very well done and helped a lot! I decided to attempt re-angling the stems! I was sad to find and happy to remove the original nursery pot remains. Happy I did this asap rather than waiting to discover and hope this helps the root system!
@Torontoplantdad Guess I’ll go take that out of water πŸ˜…
this is her after a healthy water and repot ✨
@LoyalYellowrose beautiful!
