Browning stem

So I repotted this baby when I got it. He promptly lost most of his leaves which I can get over. But now only a couple stems are putting out new growth (2 left-most), and the main stem (nearest support stick) is browning in the middle. My first question is, is that browning stem likely to recover and eventually put out new leaves? And if not, should I cut and prop the stems that are healthy and growing? #Begonia

It may be stem rot. Did you repot it to the same level it was at in its old pot? If not, I’d dig around it a little and check if the stem is covered with wet soil. If it is stem rot, and it’s advanced, I’d cut and prop soon before it spreads, it moves fast! If it’s early, disinfectant it with 3% hydrogen peroxide and let it dry out. Rot doesn’t like oxygen, so let the plant dry out a bit before repotting. I keep mine out for 24 hours or a little less. Good luck! And let us know how he recovers.
