SOS - can it be saved?

So I received an old man cactus as a gift towards the end of last year - it wasnโ€™t in the best shape but Iโ€™ve been trying to revive it. It was looking okay then turned for the worse. I had three small cacti stems. I cut into two of the smaller ones to see how the inside looked and it wasnโ€™t capable of being saved at all (trying to cut off the bad and propogate). I cut into the last of the three cacti and this one is a very light green color but has a yellow outer layer and still looks mushy. Does anyone know if this little guy is capable of being saved and propagated or is it too late? Thanks in advance! #HappyPlants #help #OldManCactus
It's rotting. Try to dig out the mushy stuff, and then see if it will sprot any new growth. It might be too late, but give it a shot.
@motherearth83 bummer. Thanks for the response!
Iโ€™m sure you already are, but keep talking to him๐Ÿ˜
