ID Me πŸͺ΄

So this is the tiny sprout I found just emerging from the soil of my Alocasia Polly, less than 48 hours ago. Now it’s 3” tall and definitely not an Alocasia. What is it??? #mysteryplant #IdMePlease #identifymyplant #NewGrowth #babyplants #GregGang #PropagationStation #PlantID #OutdoorGrowing #EdiblePlants #WeirdPlants #WhatPlantIsThis #OutdoorGrowing #gardening #VeggieGardens #WeedsArePlantsToo
1ft to light, indirect
6” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 days ago
Looks like a scindapsus or begonia.
I thought it looked like a squash plant πŸ˜‚ but hey, who knows πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ
@PlantLady01 I thought it looked like a giant pumpkin plant
@PlantLady01 same, that’s what I thought too.
@nellz4estfairyz , isn’t a pumpkin really just a large squash? Were you outdoor gardening recently? That’s funny, can you transplant it?
@CheyenneRed @plantlady01 I with it was one of the things JD mentioned. That would be so cool. I got this plant at a local garden center in January. So I’m surprised that it took this long for something to appear. But, at this point I’m leaning towards pumpkin plant. We harvested seeds last fall from some 300 pound pumpkins we grew in our yard. We put them all away and saved them for this summer but I’m suspicious that there were couple floating around the house. Not sure how a seed would have gotten in there.
@EZLennyLance now I’ve got to grow this to maturity to find out! πŸ€“
If it was previously sitting outside, I'd say it's a sunflower. Maybe a bean?
