How do I know when my nerve plant will need a new pot? My Nia has been with me a couple of months now and has sprouted slowly. Pretty new to plants, any tips? #NervePlant
4ft to light, indirect
3” pot with drainage

When the roots start to come out of the drainage holes that’s when repot. Or since you have a clear pot, when the roots start rapping around the bottom of the pot. I hope that helps.
@Ella_drury03 thank you, it does! πŸ€—
@Ella_drury03 I love clear pots for this reason. So much easier to grow things when you can see the roots.

I have some clear pots. I've been leary to use them because I figure roots are normally underground (darkness).
Do these work for any plant?

Can a clear pot be used for any plant? I always wonder how the roots acclimate to light hitting them. I'd like to use them.
@plantstate I’m pretty sure anything can go in them. I was going to say no to cactus but why not, they come in a plastic nursery pot, unless you dug it up. So far I have had more issues putting something right into ceramic or clay but not so far with clear ones. You can always put it into a decorative pot to hide the roots.

Thanks. I like their size. I appreciate your response because now I feel better about using them. I did think it would be easy to wrap them in fabric or the like.
