Hope everyone is having a good weekend, me and my boyfrie...

Hope everyone is having a good weekend, me and my boyfriend spent most of the day doing chores & running errands. We had to get a new tire after having a flat, go grocery shopping, & power washed the side walk and front porch. ๐Ÿ˜… I did lots of plant chores; drilled a hole in my new pot, did some propagation trays, bottled my rain water for the plants, & took some pictures for Greg! Now to relax & make my daily post lol.

Hereโ€™s some photos from today ๐ŸŒฑ
1. Echeveria โ€˜Blue Atollโ€™
2. Graptoveria โ€˜Opalinaโ€™
3. Five Stamen Graptopetalum
4. Sedeveria โ€˜Dark Elfโ€™
5. Echeveria โ€˜Green Pearlโ€™

Wow you were one busy woman today!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ Definitely time to sit and enjoy all the progress you made โœ…. Your succulents are gorgeous! They do love being outside ๐Ÿ™Œ. Love the kitty ๐Ÿˆ stake๐Ÿฅฐ!!
@MariansOasis thank you! Yes very busy indeed, & thank you, used to have a hummingbird one but I lost it. Sorry I didnโ€™t spell check beforehand lol.
Wow it's so beautiful! What kind of soil and fertilizer do you use for your plants?
WOW that first photo..Blue Atoll..๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฏ just beautiful!
Whats the secret here?! ๐Ÿ’œ
Those colors are just out of this world. Iโ€™m a little envious of those with the succulent golden touchโ€ฆthey donโ€™t last long at my house ๐Ÿ˜ข Thank you for letting me admire from afar!
@TidyTigerpear Those are gorgeous!! I think youโ€™ve got the magic touch with succulents and cacti!
Beautiful babies! I just got plant mail and they sent a free plant - which was a succulent. Any tips?
Beautiful plants
@HappyPlantMama I use miracle grow succulent soil, with added perlite for drainage/grit. I use dynamite granular slow release fertilizer from Home Depot mixed in
@GrandeeRamshorn right ๐Ÿคฉ sheโ€™s a big gal ! My secret is lots of light, rain water, and slow release fertilizer mixed in with a well draining soil!
@DailyDose_OfLee well draining soil, and lots of light depending on the succulentโ€ฆ also your pot ALWAYS should have drainage and if you can put it in a teracotta/pourous pot it will thrive better then if not. Also a good rule of thumb is to underwater rather than to overwater, you can save it from a lack of water rather than overwatering.
@RefinedSandwort awe thank you! ๐Ÿ˜Š I hate to brag but I think you may be rightโ€ฆ ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿค—
@TidyTigerpear thanks love!!! So def remove from nursery pot?
@DailyDose_OfLee you can remove from your pot whenever you are ready, but just make sure you have the things you need to give it a good chance to thrive after repotting, also donโ€™t water it as soon as you repot it, give it about a day or three to adapt to its new home.
Example: well draining dirt, teracotta/pourous pot W/ drainage, and a good light source. South facing window would be could or if you have a shaded porch where it can get part sun part shade. Do you have a picture of your succulent? I might be able to help you better if I know what type it is. ๐Ÿค—
Oh geez I just repotted and gave it a full water ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ™ˆ itโ€™s an aeonium kiwi
@DailyDose_OfLee thatโ€™s okay, just donโ€™t water it anymore until it is fully dry/ two weeks is a good rule of thumb/ or when the leaves are slightly wrinkly or less firm. Also thatโ€™s a good pot for it, I have the same pot in small/medium & large and I love them! So cute
@TidyTigerpear wonderful! I will be sure not to water until dry. I found them at Walmart for $1.50 and literally said, who know I may need them one day. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพ
๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Holy moly, those are huge ๐Ÿคฉ

Do you have special rain water???? Maybe you live in Mother Natureโ€™s garden, or have magic beans in the soil? ๐Ÿ˜
@DailyDose_OfLee @TidyTigerpear advice is great.
For the soil, I would recommend adding perlite to your succulent or cactus soil. The mix is 1 part soil, 2 parts perliteโ€ฆwear a dust mask ๐Ÿ˜ทwhenever working with Perlite, your lungs ๐Ÿซ will thank you โค๏ธ
@DesertGreen I do use rain water only for my succulents !!
Looking good Jilly ๐Ÿค—
@TidyTigerpear your succs look so good, I'm going to try to collect rain this year ๐Ÿ˜
