Chopped the top of my paraiso verde yesterday and I’m thinking that once it roots in water I’ll start a new plant with this one - originally was planning to combine it with the mother. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #Philodendron
Beautiful!
@teacher12 thank ya!
Thats the fun of chopping! I chop my big leaves, root in perlite, then pot in a muuuuuch smaller pot with big ole' leaves and then gift the mama away and let someone deal with the big pot! πŸ˜‚
@GaryPoopins those are some cool leaves! And I like this window sill area by the sink. Perfect for plants!πŸͺ΄
@AwesomePlants I’m all for that as well, but cutting + 3’ bamboo stake and a small planter is probably tipping right over, even if cement. I found a taller 4” heavier terracotta planter that I figure I’ll give a whirl for this one after rooting… but I think I’ll keep the mother for a while longer just in case I kill the cutting. Then I’ll selfish-gift it to someone βœ”οΈ Solid plan
@nellz4estfairyz Thanks! I love a good bay window πŸ’š
@GaryPoopins Wowzers, that’s a real beauty! What’s the mother look like chopped? If she’s full enough to your liking I’d let this baby speak for himself. He’s already making a statementπŸ‘€ I keep enlarging your pic and admiring the Sweet variegations!
@GaryPoopins Such pretty variegation! Definitely needs to be his own plant! Good luckπŸ˜‰
@GaryPoopins Think pots that aren't pots! I use clear containers from dollare tree that I put holes in for these type of plants. I don't need a huge diameter, but I do need tall.
