Meet Harry. Found this exotic looking plant at Lowe’s today. I had to get him. He came as a ‘wick and grow’ plant. I have other plants from Lowe’s with that and i removed the strings. Does anyone use the ‘wick and grow’ system?

I use it in my baby rubber plants that I also got from Lowe’s. They’ve been in that system for about a year now and are doing great.

@MightyAloLover did you get a special (pricey) pot? If not, what do you have it sitting in?

@LeadChincactus Lowe’s has some cute ceramic pots that said wick and grow on them, I think maybe it’s the brand. So I got a couple of those to set the plastic pot with the string in. The pots have a ridge along the inside that keeps the plastic pot from sitting on the bottom so you have a self watering pot.

I only check mine once a week. Usually they’re dry by then and ready for water.
