Yikes! Yeah, that's quite the mask she's wearing 😬 sure puts a shiver up my spine! πŸ•·οΈπŸ‘€

I *had* to look this up and...Zipper spiders seem pretty interesting! Not poisonous, that's a good start and, they're beneficial in the garden!! They like to dine on insects that damage plants.

And the zipper? Get this: They make webs out in the open so the zipper helps birds spot and avoid. What good neighbors, so considerate! πŸ˜†

Thanks for sharing, Ann Marie! I'm going to have nightmares but I feel smarter! Haha 😳🀭🌻🌿

Yes!! They are amazing and majestic (and huge!!). I can't understand why @LatiTish84 is noping away!

We get them near our doors outside and they are fascinating to watch. The bugs destroy their webs in the evening and every morning, they will respin the whole web! That's commitment!
We get the Joro spider. All kinds spin their webs this time of year.
At least there not poisonous
Damn near ran face first into one of those (or something very similar) in the woods in Oklahoma once... Screamed so loud my step dad thought I was being attacked by something. πŸ˜‚
@Vinxy2 very similar!πŸ˜–
Ya know @LatiTish84 @jcPlantProper @NMazon @WickedValkyrie I’m With Y’all πŸ˜–πŸ˜– OMG They give me the Willies!!!!πŸ˜–πŸ•ΈπŸ•·
@corvidfan thanks for the information! I knew they weren’t poisonous. As far as the Zipper, well now that’s Very Interesting 🧐 How Nice of those Majestic Arachnids to think of birds.πŸ˜–πŸ˜–
Arachnophobia traumatized me for life. A spider made a web on the front entry of my porch and I legit used the side entrance until it decided to leave. I don’t do spiders, no ma’am. @sarahsalith Okay that is very interesting! I like that they warn birds. But I still need my space. πŸ˜… @corvidfan
