@elisenavidad I’m not an expert in any plant but I do a lot of reading and research. It is beautiful! Unfortunately it’s says that the white needs color to survive. Check out YouTube.

@Preciousplants1 yes, they typically do. However, it being an Alocasia I’m hoping I can get a corm out of it as well as another leaf. I do use silica which should extend the lifespan as well.
@elisenavidad I've heard of using silica to preserve flowers once you remove them from the plant. Is that what you're talking about?

@princesspitstop no, I use silica when watering as it is a beneficial nutrient for the plant which helps extend the lifespan of white portions on leaves! I typically don’t have browning on my white leaves for about 8-9 months when using silica!
