everyone pray for my pink syngonium, she has some fungus gnats living in the soil and i accidentally put waaaay too much hydrogen peroxide in the water mix today- like 25% 😬 i didn’t realize until after the damage was done… she’s so healthy too!!! arggggg! #PinkSyngonium fungusgnats">#fungusgnats
1ft to light, indirect
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 week ago
I would be really surprised if that caused a problem. They say one to four ratio which would be 20%. 25% is not much more and I’m pretty sure I’ve done that in the past.
A rinse out shoukd help to if you wanted to dunk it in water for a sec then sliwly lift it out
Helps leach out salts and minerals too.
@Just1More LOVE to hear this thank you cindy! i swear i read 1 to 4 recently, so i just did it, and googled afterwards (always a bad idea) to see people say 10% and got super freaked out.
@TheConservator like take the whole plant out of the pot and then dunk it?
@StromantheSlave I think it will be fine but you can rinse if you are concerned. That said make sure it drains well .
@StromantheSlave I have one too. I just took a picture to send a friend.
No not out of the pot Just submerge the pot up to soil level let it set a couple minutes then slowly lift it out
It really benificial yo do it occasionally anyway. Like i said it leaches salts and mineral build up Buf it also aerates the soil and fights compaction
Make surecto lift it out slowly though that way it doesnt suck thd soil back down as it drains out the bottom. Lifting fast causes thd watef to just drop out almost suctioning the soil down with it But go slow it keaves all thd air pickets behind
