My pink princess from Ecuagenera arrived. It is much larger than the one from Planterina but very little variegated and some damaged leaves. I have one more coming from Costa Farms...

The first pic is the small PPP from Planterina.
Is this from the US site or the Ecuador site?

Give her bright indirect light to help. Mine was the same and now she puts out pink constantly.
@angelw1975 I was just on Costa Farms today looking at one. And then I remembered I’m on a #PlantFast so I backed away slowly.
Maybe next time Monique. Maybe next time….
@AwesomePlants the US site.... should I try the Ecuador site??
@MrsSmith At least wait until I get mine from Costa Farms so you can see the comparison from the 3 different vendors!!!
@angelw1975 Deal!! πŸ‘πŸΎ
@MrsSmith the final PPP has arrived from Costa Farms.
As suspected there were 2 death plugs so I ended up repotting all 3, to keep conditions as similar as possible.
Left: Planterina
Middle: Ecuagenera
Right: Costa Farms
Planterina $52.37 plus $9.50 shipping =$61.87 ***used a 50% off coupon
Ecuagenera $38.40
Costa farms $50
Some observations I made:

Costa Farms was seemingly 2 plants (2 death plugs)...fluffy coco coir soil and lots of roots.

Ecuagenera had less roots but tons of growth points and even aerial roots.

Planterina is a baby...for real...barely any stem and very few roots. Even though the leaves are "prettier" the lack of stem, growth points/nodes and roots scare me πŸ˜†. I've murdered sturdier plants!!!
@MrsSmith if you have never signed up or purchased from Costa Farms (cough cough if your husband hasn't lol) you can use this referral link to save $10
@angelw1975 Thank you so much for the follow up and these pictures!! The side by side is very helpful visually. Costa Farms does look the fullest (and best overall based on your pictures and info) and has lots of roots but as you said, there are other factor to take into consideration. The one from Ecuagenera having a lot of growth points is a bonus πŸ‘πŸΎ The β€œprettier” leaves may be initially appealing from Planterina but with my rookie chops I need sturdy roots. β€œI’ve murdered sturdier plants!!!” πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ If I get her, I’ll probably go with Costa. Hopefully I have the same luck as you did. After what you’ve seen, do you favor Costa Farms?
@angelw1975 I haven’t. Thank you πŸ˜‰
@MrsSmith I am favoring the Costa Farms ppp. It also came in their signature white pot and I can always use a pot!!

For me it looks like a more finished or polished plant vs a project plant if that makes any sense.

And as I mentioned, being the rookie that I am the sturdier the better!!

Especially if you can get it for $40!!
@angelw1975 Makes sense. And that pot is a bonus!! πŸ‘πŸΎ I may just be going with them too when the time comes. Thanks for your help ☺️
