I know theyβre not the same plant, but most of the advice applies. So, I'll reproduce my go-to Rose Calathea guide here for future reference ππ
Here you go:
So, I've had one for 8 months now. She's thriving, but she's not easy.
1 - She's an amazonian plant used to 80% humidity. So you need to consider that. Buy a humidifier and/or mist her every day to keep humidity levels high.
2 - DO NOT let her under direct sunlight under any circumstances. Consider putting her behind some other plant/object to prevent the sun from hitting her directly.
3 - Only water her with rainwater and/or water that has been sitting out for about 24h hours. She's sensitive to some chemicals in the water, so you need to give it time for them to evaporate.
4 - Keep a regular watering and fertilizing schedule.
5 - If you see some brown edges, that's normal. Don't panic. It's hard. If you see brown leaves, you have a humidity/watering problem.
That's the basics, I guess.
