Whew! Separating my 15 plus year old spider. I haven’t repotted this guy in probably 10 years! Boy was it time. There was white powdery mold? I assume and dirt was pretty much grey. I decided to separate into four plants and likely give a couple to family! Anyway here is some hardy spider plant roots for your viewing enjoyment. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #RootPorn

@Wickedlemons You did an excellent job with that plant I know they are pretty much low maintenance but 15 plus years is quite an accomplishment!
@Wickedlemons that is so awesome!
And then there were four!
Wow!! Growth is about to explode with this guy! Can't wait to see updates...
@PlantEsteem me too! He was doing great and constantly putting out new healthy shoots but just hadn’t put out runners in forever! I’m sure they’ll all be happier and healthier 😁
Fifteen years ???!!!! Amazing!!
@Ms.Persnickety thank you very much!! I rescued this plant from getting thrown out at an old job. They tossed all their office plants since there were bugs. I brought him home and nursed him back! He is one of my fave’s and I put off repotting because I was too scared to bother him πŸ˜‚
@TJphilobsessed thank you! He is for sure an old man. I hope I didn’t make him mad hahah!
@Wickedlemons I know exactly how you feel! I too have a healthy respect for that repotting business! Those little guys can’t scream, ouch, ouch you’re hurting me! So I’m delaying the repotting for a while yet! On the other hand they might be screaming 😱 ouch, ouch this pot is too tight… who knows???
@Wickedlemons wow 15 years old. Congratulations. I hope I can keep mine alive for at least a year. πŸ˜‚. Yours is gorgeous and love the #RootPorn
@KikiGoldblatt thank you! It helps that these are really forgiving and low maintenance!
@Wickedlemons yes I do agree. I have a few myself.
@KikiGoldblatt oh they look beautiful!
Gorgeous plant and now four gorgeous spider plants. Amazing that he did so well for 15 years, WOW 😲😍πŸ₯°
