Just got this Creeping Juniper Bonzai today. Thought I could keep it inside with a grow light but I'm seeing I'm supposed to keep it outside. 😞 Any thoughts on keeping it inside. It's so pretty.
Believe me it will probably be better outside as natural sunlight and will get fed when rains
With extra care and attention you can keep them inside πŸ™‚
This is from an old bonsai book my dad gave me a million years ago
They should be grown outdoors.
They are definitely outdoor trees! I killed several by trying to keep them as houseplants when I started keeping bonsai years ago. They need plenty of sun and the cycle of the seasons to stay healthy.

Editing to add that they can do alright for short periods of time. I sometimes bring one of my trees in for a day or two if I’m having company and want to have them be decorative, but then they go back outside πŸ˜‰
Thanx everyone for the great info. I will see how it does inside and if I see it struggling I will put it outside. πŸ˜€
