Hope everyone is having a good weekend, Im pretty busy this weekend! Today my grandma had a yard sale, so me & my boyfriend went to help as well as sell some things. We plan to use the money we made for our day trip to Carolina beach tomorrow! 🌊
I’m super excited since we haven’t been to the beach in a while & haven’t gone on a trip this year together. Although it’s not summer anymore and won’t be as warm, which means I most likely won’t be able to get in the water 😞 I’m still happy that I will get to see the water & sand as well as smelling the salt! 🏝️
My grandma was selling these plant stands & since I liked them she gave them to me. ( photos 1&3) she also gave me a pup from her Haworthia since I repotted it for her while I was there. 🌱
I also had a few plants I didn’t sell at the yard sale, so I kept them & repotted them when I got home. (Photo 2) its four polka dot props, & my bromeliad that wasn’t doing so well in the pot I had it in, so I’m hoping it will start doing better in a new pot & new spot.

Well, busy or no; looks like u had great, productive weekend!! Both ur grandma & u (& b/f) r lucky to have one another!! Love plant stands!! Not sure where on beach ur going but we were in OBX over Labor Day, Hatteras & it was post-hurricane so first 3 days were so windy it would knock down small child!! They had sand piled up like we in the North pile snow when plowed & shoveled. Water was FREEZING! Only salvation was hot tub!! But I say all that to say this: it was wonderful as u say the salt air, the waves, watching sunrise & sunset . Just take some sweaters & buy a few hoodies while there !!! Have a blast as I know u will. All ur actions so far show u can make lemonade from lemons under any situation so u go girl!!! (And b/f too!!)🫶🏼🏄🏾♀️🌊
@TidyTigerpear Hope you had a good time ! Extra money well spent and time spent with your gram . Let me tell ya that’s so important. My daughter rarely takes the time to see my mom and I see how it hurts her.
@BreBreezy on a cruise i need to sleep w/door open so i can sleep to the sound of the waves!! In OBX, my kids gave me the entire top floor of house (living area on barrier islands) and Madter suite but alas it was front of house so i slrpt in the small cocktail lounge/room e/e it was on loveseat cause it was back of house where i could gear the water and waves (also watcyed a hpyse 3 down from us slowly drift into the sound!!! We were there post-hurricaine) very interesting stuff u see!!!

@MamaLinne haha that’s funny you say that because it actually took quite the tumble a couple days ago from my porch railing from the wind! Thank goodness I didn’t break the pot or the plant too badly. I guess you can’t even tell really, but it has a main lien because it was laying on its side all night! Two arms of it broke off and I’m currently trying to route those now and some dirt. Really with this milk bush all I’ve done is keep it outside. It gets mourning and afternoon sun, and then shade in the late afternoon. I use rainwater to water it and I only water it when it’s completely dry. I’ve really just left it alone honestly. 🤷🏻♀️ just be careful not to overwater !! 🌱
@MamaLinne yours is very tall’! Mine is quite bushy… you should have seen it before it was leaning so much 😟😫 I mean I can’t complain too much because it could’ve been a lot worse.
