Late Night ~Cacti~ Appreciation Post, I had a chance to enjoy my #coffeewithsucculents this morning, & got to snap a few pictures of my cactus babies with morning dew π¬οΈβ¨
1. Tephrocactus Geometricus, also known as the βDragon Egg Cactusβ , has been *slowly* growing. Recently these darker, more pointy, & thick spines have emergedβ¦ Iβm not sure what that means or why the spines have seemed to get thicker than the rest of the spines on the plant. Iβm interested to know if that means anything at all, or if itβs just a normal growth pattern. I havenβt changed anything as far as its environment. If anyone has any foresight on this please share!
2-4. Another close up of the Tephrocactus, & my BEAUTIFUL Arizona Rainbow Cactusβ¦ itβs very apparent why it was named such.. itβs became one of my favorites, I wanted one for so longgg, Iβm so happy to own such a beautiful cultivar. The way the spines mimic a rainbow pattern vertically, as well as eyecactching aerial view in photo 3.. I just canβt get enough of this beauty. They also have stunning flowers which I hope I will eventually get to experience! πΈ
5. Variegated Corn Cob Cactus- it has really thrived since repotting in early spring, It looks to me it could already use another repot soonβ¦ problem is i have no bigger sized pots right nowβ¦ (itβs a bittersweet thing when your plants used to be super small, so all your pots are small, but now you have had them so long they have almost trippled in size, however you are lacking in pots that are appropriately sized for them nowβ¦ π). Anyways it will be okay till I can make it to a nursery for my birthday (November). π I plan on treating myself to some plants and pots for my 25 birthdayβ¦ π€·π»ββοΈ

Beautiful! I think tephrocactus are really cool and Iβve never seen the rainbow one before
I have the same problem, the underneath of my bed is stuffed with small plant pots π Thankfully recently I rummaged through the shed and had a few larger terracotta ones that did the job but Iβve been telling my plants that theyβre not allowed to grow for a while π
It feels like such a waste when you have tons of little pots that you canβt use!

@TidyTigerpear your propagations are so healthy, as are your cacti. I was wondering if I could email you some pics and ask questions, about some sick ones that Iβm trying to rescue from over watering? mine is issa7art@gmail.com
