@LeafSprite I was just looking at you plants and I just wanted to say… Do you need help? They look like they are dying… #SucculentSquad #succulentshelp
Hey! Yeah… they are a Lowes rescue (cut the small one off the bigger one) I didn’t realize until recently that they seemed to be covered in powdery mildew?? (The before pictures have them a much lighter white color that I thought was just the leaf, but I think was the fungus…) I treated them with isopropyl alcohol and have them isolated with a grow light to see if they’ll pull through… but I don’t have high hopes, I don’t think I caught it early enough 😅
@vvvelo the stem piece that had roots already from where the pup shot out from the main stem is doing well tho! (Solid in its new pot and has some teeny tiny new growth from an old leaf node!)
@LeafSprite I was thinking that PVN has weird kind of powder on its leaves 🍃 but now I see that this is powdery mildew… So sorry
@vvvelo glad to have the confirmation at least, it happens, I was excited to find it in the clearance section but didn’t think “now what might be the reason it’s on clearance….) smh oh well lesson learned! Ask #GregGang sooner lol
Yeah this looks like mildew.. I just went through a scare and turned out my succs were adding Farina to themselves 😍😍😍 It helps to protect them from sunlight and water. It looks like a white powdery substance on the leaves and stems. I had to do some investigating and scientific work to confirm but pretty interesting. But yeah, this looks like mildew!
Succulents are insanely resilient. Repot don’t water just mist them daily The leaves will soak up the water. And the pot only needs an ice cube a week
don’t mist :( it’ll make the mildew worse
