Good morning everyone 🌻 It's an absolutely gorgeous day here in the great state of Texas! High of 85° low humidity! I wish it was like this year 'round! Today is the day my Snake Plants are due for their once a month, give or take a day, watering. They have grown so much over the Summer 🌞 Months ago I also soil Propagated some by cutting up a leaf and waiting. I waited...and waited... FINALLY little pups appeared! They're so stinking cute! 🥰🐍 Oh and I wanted to show you guys the colors on this little Hoya. It's sun stressed from my grow light. What do y'all got going on today? Tell me all about it!! LOL that meme 🤣 well I definitely felt that the last couple days, I got my new xanthosoma and Florida ghost, and then yesterday I worked but my daughter was getting out of school early, so on my way home I thought, “ooh I have enough time to stop and get that beautiful Birkin I didn’t get on Tuesday 🤣🤣
I can already tell that the sun stressing on that Hoya is going to be SOO beautiful 🙀 Your snake plants are also so gorgeous!! I was having some trouble with mine, but since the pup has some aerial root nubbins starting I’m not too worried now!
Made a couple moss poles and got my lemon lime philo “Sprite” on hers, really excited to see her take off! Hope everyone has a lovely Thursday.

Good morning 🌞! It’s a glorious day too here in So CA! Bright sunshine, blue skies, getting up to 70-ish later this afternoon. @princesspitstop your new pups are adorable!! Did all those spring up from one cutting? Your pubicalyx is definitely off to a great sun stressed start. I absolutely love pubicalyx!! No wonder it has been a favorite for many thru the years. 😍🤩

I really should be packing up the apartment!! I am kinda waiting to make sure everything is going to go through before I get too excited. I should know not to put all my plants in one basket 🧺 by now! I can't wait to see how big your Philo leaves get!!! 🥰
#brunchataudreys @princesspitstop Good Morning!☀️ It a gorgeous day, here in New Mexico! Temperatures going up to a 😎 70• degrees! Fall 🍂🍁here, but not Fall temperatures! 😉 I decided to upgrade my Hoya Publicalyx aka “Lola” to a trellis, so she can showcase her 🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃, and might get a sun stress tan from my south facing 🪟. Also one of my Ficus Twin (Ficus Burgundy) aka “Terra” is sprouting a new 🍃! How exciting is that!! 🙌 She is under the grow light, and she loves it, along with her other planty friends. Everyone have a great Thursday on purpose! 😉
@MariansOasis I love it too it's so pretty 😍 No those pups are from each piece of leaf cutting that I took. Once they were big enough to separate from "the Host" cutting I removed it and replanted it into the little terracotta pot. That one in the front I haven't separated it yet but it's probably ready by now.

@DreamMachine 🫠the birkin! I have 2 cuttings in water. Years ago I got a Red Congo/Birkin combo plant & the rojo took over! So I separated them all, rojo had lots of roots and is fine still in a pot. Couldn’t save any roots for the 2 Birkins so chopped. I think they’ll be okay but root development is taking forever!! I’m tempted to ♻️ 🚮 and start fresh. But I hate to not wait long enough…seems many times I’m ready to throw in the towel and that’s when I see signs of life 🤪. And why is it I’m so willing to hack away, toss out plants outside in the gardens but get all sad 🥺when I trim up houseplants?? 🤷♀️ I want to save every piece and see if it can grow 🤪 🤣 😜

@SweetAzurebluet I didn't realize how strong it was and I had some jelly bean succulents under the same grow light and I think it was a little too much for it so I moved it further down away from it. They were turning some kind of weird purpley color.
@SweetAzurebluet your pubicalyx will LOVE it. I just keep wrapping her tendrils around and around 🙌. Just make sure the ends of the vines are going up ⬆️. Don’t end the wrap with it growing downward ⤵️
@MariansOasis put in an application yesterday for an apartment complex next door to the one we're currently at. If you've been keeping up with the chaos we haven't had hot water since we moved in at the end of May. Among a whole laundry list of other issues that are absolutely ridiculous. Like $122 water bill that we're supposed to be splitting between the other residents, the $122 being only our portion of the bill and there's water constantly in the parking lot that flows consistently. We hardly use the water especially since I can't bathe here. Anyway keep us in your thoughts that this goes through without any hiccups. I don't see why there would but you never know. 🙏😁
@SweetAzurebluet @princesspitstop is use these modular ones too. It’s worked well so far with philo lemon lime 🍋 🍋🟩 Just put a pothos on one too but not enough time yet to tell if it likes it. 🤷
@princesspitstop oh dear God no!! I missed that chaos 🌀🌪️!! So sorry for what you’ve been going through 🙈. I can’t imagine no hot water since May 😞. You are definitely 💯 in my thoughts that all goes smoothly and you are in a new place pronto!!!!

I didn't know how to wrap them! 👍💚 Let me know if and when you decide to propagate them and I'll let you know the best way I've found to get them to work right. It still takes MONTHS though lol

@SweetAzurebluet I love the Christmas aloe!! @RefinedSandwort Joy has one that I'm constantly eye balling every time she posts it! I do have a jelly bean but it's a propagated one so it's still really small. It's starting to turn green again but you could still see a little of the purple on it.

Okay everyone I have a Fiddle Leaf fig dilemma I need help with. One of mine thrives and one is not. I give both the same care. I don’t think one has better light than the other. The little sad one was in a 4” pot, repotted several months ago to a 6” pot. Once before (several months ago) it looked like the tip was dried up so I chopped it and then new growth emerged. But nothing more since. Its bottom leaves are very pale but nothing drying up or falling off. It’s in cactus succulent mix. Maybe this mix is too chunky and draining moisture too fast? What else do you think might be going on?

@MariansOasis I had one a while ago, I can’t see you doing anything wrong! FLF are very finicky, such an attitude, they don’t like to be moved around a lot. My guess is one is easy, the other wants to do things, his/her way. So you might have to just sit and wait
@MariansOasis I wish I could help but I haven’t gotten a new FLF since I un-alived my last one 😬 I totally agree with @SweetAzurebluet I think they really have their own distinct personalities!!

@MamaFairy Snake plants like to be left alone. They're total introverts. Give them a lot of sunshine. Plant them in some well draining soil like a succulent or cactus soil and don't water them until the soil is bone dry.
@DreamMachine @SweetAzurebluet yes FLF are finicky! The one I got from Greg Plant Shop is thriving. This other one was local so may not have had consistent care. I water it regularly but I suspect with not enough water 💧. Always afraid of overwatering 😬 but may be erring on too dry.

@Just1More I think it was my fault for hoping it WOULD be an albo, I got this one https://a.co/d/3YIQngj which just describes it as “variegated white monstera” but some pictures are definitely thai. It was pretty cheap though so I’m not complaining 🤷🏼♀️

@Luckeecharm1 Texas weather is insane it's going to be in the 80's until Monday morning and we're going to be below freezing 🥶 that's why I have my plants by the back door so I can just slide them back out when it's nice outside and slide them back in when it drops below 50°

@MariansOasis I had a moisture meter, plus I would bottom watered mine. Greg was accurate, when it came for me to water my FLF. Unfortunately, when I went away, and came back home, I couldn’t save it
Hi all! I had my first full day of hospice nursing today- shadowing another nurse. I absolutely love it! I’m not ready to give up my crazy chaotic hospital job yet, but dropping to part time there and adding part time hospice is going to be such a change of pace for me. I loved slowing down with people and really connecting.
I’m considering downsizing my collection of spider and snake plants. I’ve got so many from the original 2, and they just don’t bring me a lot of joy, and they require so many of the best sunny spots. Not sure if I’ll give them away or what yet…just trying to decide! All of my plants are vigorously throwing new leaves- I think it’s the angle of the sun right now. I’m enjoying all of the growth before the big dormancy!

@SweetAzurebluet oh they totally are! Sorry love, I’m talking about two varieties of the same plant. I was hoping what I got today (what they called a “variegated white monstera,”) would be a monstera albo, but it turned out it’s more of the yellow variegation so that means it’s a monstera thai constellation.
BOTH ARE GOOD. I’ve been wanting both 😂 So I’m really quite happy with my thai constellation. You can imagine me acting like a small child and saying “wah, I wanted the white one first and the yellow one second” with no discernible explanation except “just because.” 😂

@MamaLinne Oh, wow! I move to Albuquerque from New York City after my retirement! My kids were here, but they said it was boring here, so they moved to Texas. I decided to stay here, I have been here for 5 years

(Okay, I really did buy plants 🤦♀️) Two new begonias and a three-corn Alocasia mystery pack ( I like to not know sometimes.. ) these are mature pictures mine are itty-itty bitty. - and I just ordered them: first one ‘Begonia Amphioxus polka dot’, it’s been on my list forever! ♾️ but I just couldn’t find one for a good price. @princesspitstop hi Heidi I’m loving your snake plants. I sure miss my one with the yellow edges 😭 but I’m needing to repot this one. I’ve had it about 6 months. This terracotta pot is way too heavy for me to lift. Besides she need to be separated. 🫶🏾🙏🏽

@Preciousplants1 Hi Sherri 👋 Happy Friday! Your Snake plant is beautiful and it looks like it's ready for a bigger pot! Speaking of pot I'm loving that terracotta pot that it's in! Have you ever separated a snake plant before? If you get stuck tag me and I'll help you out. Sometimes there are empty spaces along the rhyzomes which makes it difficult to fit the plant into a pot in which case you would separate the plant by cutting the rhyzome in half allowing it to fit inside the new pot better. I love your Cuddle Cactus 😍🌵
