A little sunshine this morning π in my otherwise difficult times over the last few months.
Sometimes it seems Murphy's law hangs over me like a dark cloud, especially over the last few months. Everytime I think everything's ok, I get knocked down again, this time a loss of one third of my income which has been devastating. But I'm a survivor and God will provide. He's helped me this far π
I'm so grateful to the #gregteam for this amazing app helping me each day to focus on my plants #plantssavedmymentalhealth I may not post much but I do read through everyone's posts!
My beautiful Hoya Sunrise has opened up her buds and is blooming in all her glory.
My my sweet little Hoya Heuschkelania is about to open up her cute little buds.

Iβm sorry to hear things have been tough, but thank you for sharing your story and your photos today! Such beautiful Hoyas you have! Itβs just incredible how unique the blooms are. I received my first Hoya Kerrii this year and have been blessed so far with two blooms - and Iβve spotted the beginning of a third! They bring me so much joy, and I hope yours do as well.
@Hey27 Haley thank you so much, and welcome to the be Greg community.
Yesss Hoyas are such amazing plants and these two blooming for me had given me a little ray of sunshine during my incredibly difficult times lately. I suffer from complex ptsd and I'm so thankful for this amazing community who are supportive, non judgemental and kind.
I'd love to see pics of your Kerrii... How exciting to see new peduncles with buds π
Here's to happy Hoyas with lots of blooms π±πΏπ

@Sassylimey thanks Sarah! I can totally see how this community can make a difference and glad to hear itβs helped you. Excited to be here and so far very happy I made the decision to download Greg this week. What a fun place to connect and learn! Here was bloom number two - such an exciting moment!!
@Hey27 we're glad you're here π₯° I just air Hoya blooms, wish we had smell-a-phone, I know their fragrance is amazing!!
@sarahsalith yesss, God's way is the only way and I know His hand is on meπ€

I suffered for years when my husband died. Sat on the couch and slept. That was my life. Last year I decided to tear up the grass on half of my front yard. I planted many different perennials. It changed me thank God. In addition to increasing my indoor plants, creating a large perennial garden in my backyard showcasing statues of Blessed Mary and St Francis, I intend to dig up the grass on the other half of my front yard. Greg displayed a tidbit about what working with soil does to our brains (it's a good thing). I attached a photo where you can see the grass I'll be tearing out in the background.

@FitBrowallia Jonchel, thank you π€
@plantstate Christine, aaawww bless your heart. Yes you're right playing I'm soil releases good endorphins in your brain. Sometimes, when things are really tough I'll go into my potting area and play in the soil, it really feels so good!
Your garden is gorgeous, those blooms are stunning β€οΈ

@Sassylimey Sarah thanks for sharing your gorgeous blooms! Lifting prayers to the one above to send good vibes & things your way! Blessings β€οΈππ»
@CourtlyKingfern Evelyn, thank you. My Hoyas thrill me when they bloom. π€
@Sassylimey Hi Sarah. You have been an inspiration to me since I started with Greg. Just to let you know, you affect a lot of people in positive ways and thank you!! Please see the post and two replies yesterday in which I put three rows of pictures of the flowers and plants I have in the front of my house. Also, if you are a veteran, I hope you consider making use of the VA because they have advanced pretty well in treatments for PTSD. (I work for the one in Dayton.) @Sassylimey I put my pictures in several of the large #βs. Labeled Out the Front Door.
@AC73LoveCats @Sassylimey I was wrong, itβs A Few Steps Out Front. In Happy Plants and several others.
@plantstate Christine, that is beautiful! π» You have done what I did to the front of my house, from the porch down to the sidewalk, next to my driveway. My perennial garden is there. See the pictures I took of that just yesterday and put in #HappyPlants and other #βs. A post and 2 replies, so, 3 rows of pics, labeled A Few Steps Out Front.
@AC73LoveCats Hi Jane. Thank you for your kind words. I'm not a veteran but have a wonderful therapist who is EMDR trained.
@Hoyaobsessed yes, I am thrilled with this bloom and totally obsessed with my Hoyasπ
@AC73LoveCats
I've been searching for the photos of your front garden "a few steps out front" but am having no luck. Perhaps you can repost because I've already started grass removal on the other side of my front and I'd live to consider other plant lovers front yard creations.
