#brunchataudreys Hey gang chilling on this last day with hubby but he’s outside cleaning the brush up 🤪 Still hitting the ☕️☕️☕️ . Not sure why I drink so much it certainly doesn’t help anymore. So what’s going on for you on #succulentsundays I know quite a few are seeing buds on their Christmas cactus’s. I ended up making a half a shelf for my succulents and air plants and of course lipoths. Excuse my repeated pictures if you were on the thread today. I know I overdid Time Traveler but I’m so thrilled with it and close to having senior moments. Now for the real test of tags

Good morning everyone! ☀️ Sun finally peeking out 🌞. Looks like a gorgeous day today. Off to Costco 🙌. Snapped a few pics first. So excited I got a flower stalk emerging!!!! And Hoya covered in flowers which fill the room at night! #OrchidLovers

@ILoveMyPlants I totally know what you mean about the coffee. I can drink it then fall right back to sleep 😴 it's like I get the opposite effect! But then when it comes time for me to go to sleep at night guess who's wide awake?? 🤚 This girl! Have you ever taken a 5 hour energy? They work way better than coffee 💪☕ If you're not used to them I'd suggest only drinking half the bottle at first. I've got nothing to water today but just looked at the list and I've got about 25 of them tomorrow. I might go through those today and see if I can start marking some of them off. 💚🪴 I just checked on my little Carnivorous Ping this morning and it's growing! He's my gnat eater! 😆 I've always wanted some Lithops! They're so cute 🥰 Enjoy the rest of your weekend Ms. Deb!! 💖
@ILoveMyPlants Do you have an iPhone or an Android? For some reason iPhones will copy and paste with no problem. If you're able to get it text it to yourself. That's how I keep mine.
@princesspitstop This is my fourth attempt at posting without a freeze . Yes I like the 5 hr energy but have found something even better but I gotta be careful or I feel like I did a gram of meth. C2 energy drink . Not for the faint of heart. And I have a IPhone but want an android. But phones are crazy expensive right now. Plus the monthly fee of 50$ for both of our phones. I honestly hate money sometimes.

@ILoveMyPlants I totally feel you on the cost of phones we bought our phones through Spectrum and for both paying for our phones and service is $80 a month!!! We're seriously considering going somewhere else. Where do you get these c2's? 5 hour energies are like $3 a bottle! Meth might be cheaper! Lol But that comes with a whole slew of other problems. Maybe try doing only a half a gram next time. 🤣🤣🤣

@princesspitstop Ha ha go big or don’t bother is my modo. You’re lucky your husband doesn’t mind mine is scared I’ll have a heart attack. Plus once you try them you’ll never look back. We are on my daughter’s family plan with Verizon. If they try to change the monthly payment she pitches a fit and we end up with more . I always get the C4 yes at the drug store or supermarket. Trust me you don’t need the monster size.

@ILoveMyPlants oh girl I have Congestive heart failure and believe me I hear it from him all the time! But yet after he buys me a box of them because it's cheaper than buying the singles. We're at Walmart now and we're going to grab a couple. He's now intrigued 😄
#brunchataudreys Good Sunday afternoon everyone! Thanks for all the help with starting the posts this week! @ILoveMyPlants Good looking Lithops ! I’ve been scared to try those. Getting on here everyday and seeing all these people with new plants makes me want to get some. Until I get rid of a few, I’m in a holding pattern for new plants. Now the goal is to keep everyone alive! I am trying a to be content with new growth. My gasteria lil warty has a couple of yellowing leaves at the bottom, but everything is firm and a new leaf if popping out. Removed a couple of yellowing leaves from this Birds Nest snake plant, but it has a couple of new leaves coming in. My rose quartz cactus was not looking good . I moved all 3 pieces to a smaller, shallower pot last Sunday. Gave it a soak today. Didn’t have much root system left. Hope I can turn it around. My echeveria Dionysus got a soak and some fertilizer today. Colors are looking good, but not growing much.
Supposed to be celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary today. I had to play handbells this AM so my hubby went with me. We came back and went out for brunch. Instead of champagne, I’ve been sipping on the Alma Seltzer Plus severe cold formula . I’m feeling a little loopy from the antihistamine. I feel better today than yesterday and Friday afternoon.

@RefinedSandwort sorry you’re not feeling well 🤧. I was down for the count last week. It’s a hanger oner too! I’ve been over it for days but there’s a teeny bit of a persistent runny nose and some chest congestion. Rest up! Your plants look awesome! 👏

@DreamMachine oh yeah, do!! 🙌 You will love it! Sooo pretty, very sturdy and throws out tons of peduncles and blossoms. They don’t last as long as other Hoya flowers. And they’re a little juicy 🤪. But it’s probably up there in my top 10 just for foliage alone!! 👍🙌

@DreamMachine Loving that Hoya 🤩 I don’t have much luck with them my first bit the dust my krimsome queen is a really slow grower and then my Hindu Rope seems to be a bit more promising. We shall see If I could fit more plants I’d invest in a decent sized one. Did you receive your plant mail ?

@DreamMachine I’m waiting on two free shipping plants one said January I messaged and he said it’s on its way 🤔 But it’s hard to tell where it’s being shipped from. The other should hit in a few days. I’ve been purchasing from Amazon for free shipping. Only one bad experience others are beautiful. Waiting is the hardest part ! Who sang that ??

I got a Hoya compacta too this summer 😁 But it’s notoriously slow growing and I got a baby starter planty so I’m playing the lonnnnng game, lol. They say it grows like 6 inches per YEAR lol. Further down the line I might have to splurge on a more established one and pot my starter in with it! 👉🏼👈🏼 I just saw this new growth today though!

@DreamMachine I’m sure you’ve seen them all by now (lol. But my Jewel orchids that are in bloom , my black velvet and my crazy growing prayer plant . And the Hoya your holding. The Hindu Rope is my best growing Hoya I must say . Look for sellers you like on Etsy a lot of them sell on Amazon also . Shh I didn’t tell you that

@Idplantthat I know I’m so dumb but what family is the hookeri in ? Never heard of it but it’s definitely a looker 🤩 The others are all so cute 🥰 I’m assuming you did them from corms ? Please share your secret getting 4 and all my others turned to mush in moss 😫 You have a greenhouse don’t you .
@ILoveMyPlants Hookeri is Anthurium. I believe they are also called bird’s nest? I do have a greenhouse, but depending on what it is, I have some inside the house and out. Alocasias like higher humidity, and when they are young, they need a little more attention. I actually put mine in clear solo cups and then use volcanic substrate and an orchid bark mix with perlite, NZ tree fern fiber, a little sand, and charcoal. I mix it all together and then put another solo cup over it. I just use plastic wrap and wrap it around so it’s like a little dome for it to grow in. My corms and starters have all had pretty good success!
@ILoveMyPlants If I can help at all, let me know, and I’d be happy to help you with the Alocasia. I started out on the easier Alocasias, the big elephant ear ones, just so I could get the hang of it. Then I moved to the harder versions, which I love! 💕 I’ve got quite a few Alocasias. I think I’m somewhere in the 20s on them. 🤭 (like have a little more or a little less than 20)
