I don’t know what the heck goes on during the night in the garage where I’m over wintering many of my plants! My philodendron has not one but two or three inflorescence while my Regal Shield has been pushing out inflorescence like an #OctoMom since like September. I’ve lost count. I think I’m going to cut them off tonight lest I wake up and the state of Texas has passed legislation regulating botanical autonomy in matters re ornamental vs reproductive prerogatives. #happyplants #centraltexasgang #aroids #philodendron

@AnthuriumQueen LOL. You flatter me. Much appreciated ha. they listen to a lot of NPR lol. I kid Sort of. The only I thing I can think of is that I fertilize them with micro doses of dyna grow foliage pro, but I am going to be transitioning away from that. I bought some Foliage Focus, which people seem to rave about but it’s too pricey for use of my entire collection. People seem to really like the Happy Happy Houseplant formula, which seems like a good replacement but if I recall correctly, they don’t post the nutritional profile aside from saying it’s complete. I’m thinking about trying organic fertilizer for my non pon plants, but that would be reinventing the wheel because I do like how micro dosing seems to be effective for me. I read an article that says that dyna grow uses hormones in the fertilizer, which apparently causes problems eventually to continually use it. How do you like your nutritional regime?
@TexanExpat I like what I use. Micro doses work best for me. I don’t want to stress my plants and have them grow so fast that I need to cut off foliage. I already do too much of that due to limited space.
