Did the “24 hr head start root soak” this year prior to planting and we are 24 hours later and already seeeing GREEN!!!! Wow! #Amaryllis #HappyPlants #PlantAddict #PlantsMakePeopleHappy
@Lynsplants oooh exciting!! Are these ones going to be for sale or for your own personal enjoyment? 🌿🩶
@DreamMachine first time with these girls so stay tuned for offsets!
What did you do for the soak? I was gifted a few amaryllis for the holidays and didn't come across that when I did my research on them.

I am floored with how fast these guys grow though! Super neat!
Yep a cool bulb and it will grow in your yard too in California!!
@jkdykes I used a stemless wine glass and you soak just the roots for 12/24 hours in room temp water (we have well water) not city tap as that has chorine and other stuff in it so boil or use filtered. The wine glass worked perfect for my bulb sizes so the bulb didn’t get submerged
Oh, ok! I will try that with any new ones I get then! Thank you!
@jkdykes https://youtu.be/MIV8-4ZMnUg also great info! As well as user “ garden answer”
Awesome, thank you! I'll check it out!
Amazing aren’t they ! My mom has one that comes up yearly it never has to be watered just stored in a cool place. I love those flowers please show when they bloom @Lynsplants
