Mine isn’t plant related. It’s a weird dream I have that tells me Spring is here. It starts off with me being about 9, playing alongside a house I grew up in at that time. I hear a cat and go to the front to see it pinned between a chain link fence post and the front porch. It’s pregnant so it’s a bit snug but after massaging her belly on the sides, she squeezes through and as soon as she runs away, I hear birds chirping overhead. I look up and the sun is glaring in my eyes so I look away. When I open my eyes, it’s me really waking up at the year’s current age and the glare is the sunlight coming through the windows. The birds are chirping and it simply feels like Spring. I can feel it even though bluebonnets haven’t bloomed, nor have the Twxas Mountain Laurels. I have this dream every year and I’m never off. Weird but true. A few weeks later, mountain laurels bloom and I know it’s time to refill the feeders for our little bird friends.
On another note, we have one cardinal that perches on my exterior bathroom window stoop. It pecks at the glass a few minutes and serves as a reminder to fill the feeders. It has made it it’s personal mission to let me know we need to pour seeds into the feeders.
We also get the verbena popping up along with the orange bulbine in one area we’ve left natural.
Canna Lili bulbs/tubers are emerging with new foliage.

@stryker49 we have woodpeckers - those but balls like to pound on the metal downspouts at daybreak. Specifically the one right outside our bedroom 😂🙃🤷🏽♀️
