Does anybody know what is wrong with my mango plant? I just downloaded this app and Iโ€™ve been combing through posts yet I still donโ€™t know whatโ€™s wrong with mine๐Ÿ˜ญ itโ€™s leafs were small and droopy at first but they quickly grew yet theyโ€™re still droopy and although theyโ€™re less brown than they were before theyโ€™re still not green. Please help๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ™
1ft to light, direct
7โ€ pot with drainage
Last watered 1 month ago
It looks fine, don't worry! The brown [actually more orange] is due to a antioxidant called anthocyanin [the antioxidant in red, blue and purple fruits]. It helps protect the developing leaf from sun damage. The droopiness just seems like a natural growth habit. In singapore you'll see a lot of mango trees. If the previous few days are sunny, they'll appear like this. Yours has gorgeously big leaves, amazing!
I'd watch the heater tho [your card says it's near one]. The heater causes lower humidity, which is not ideal. Mangoes should have higher humidity. Either take humidifying actions [not misting, best is a cloche], or move the heater coz the window is for your plants and your heater has no right to be there /s
You can move it further from the heater along the window too, i guess
@Araceae okay, thank you! Iโ€™ll look into a cloche although Iโ€™ve also heard that pebble trays are good idk๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ™
@Mangotango in the sun and near a heater, the pebble tray would evaporate too fast. I won't suggest that. Just a cloche will work
