UPDATE on my Alocasia dragon scale that wasn’t doing too good:
Guys! I found three little nubs poking out of the soil! Do you think they’re from corms or from the mother corm!? Can’t believe this! πŸ˜„ also, do you guys think I should cut off the remaining leaf so the plant has more energy for those nubs? The leaf has been dying for a long time now. Also, I know the soil looks dry but don’t worry it isn’t. I just watered the soil and just the thin top layer is dry. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PlantTherapy #GrowLights #Barrina #BeforeAndAfter #PlantLove #AlocasiaAddicts #Alocasia #AlocasiaDragonScale

CONGRATS! Stump-type aroids [what i call these aroids with a corm or are just stumpy, like Alocasia and Anthurium] never fail to impress. Yes you can cut the leaf.

From my experience it's normally from mama corm. Baby corms [or bulbils] would normally appear slightly further away, but it is possible that the corm is sprouting more corms on itself. Whatever it is, once the buds are mature you can separate some to get more plants, or let it be for a more bushy look :)
@Araceae Thank you! Im really excited about it! Thank you for the tips and advice! πŸ˜„
