Whoa what an amazing SpringIntoSummer @jcPlantProper are you amazed π²π²π²
@RJG @jcPlantProper thanks guys, glad to see my 6 years photography education arenβt completely wasted π€£
@Judybaps so 60% of my content on here is with my Sony A7ii, but this photo and a lot of my most βpopularβ posts are just using my iPhone!
It takes about 15-30 photos to get one Iβm happy with though π
For example, this photo came second to @RJG in the last photo competition and it was an iPhone photo just after I got out the shower!!

@Microjungleme usually it takes about three years of maturity to flower, but this lad has been growing from a pup since last July! Iβm pretty certain itβs because heβs in an old coffee can! Have a look at my last post for more details on spider plants - itβs on #TeamCan - Iβm a huge huge advocate of turning old tins in to pots because of how happy this and my other spiders are!
You definitely won this weekβs #SpringIntoSummer π
@WizardGrapeivy brown tips mean they donβt like the water - they are fussier than you think! Filter the water or let the water from the tap sit in your watering can overnight and that helps - and pot them in a tin can, always my main bit of advice really π #TeamCan
@SirLiquorice it usually takes about three years of maturity for spiders to push out any flowers, but this chap is only a year old! Pretty certain itβs due to the type of pot heβs in. I did a much more detailed post regarding this specific spider plant on #TeamCan - can tag you in the post Iβm on about if you like!
This is one I saved. The mother plant was left outside by a friend when out of town and the weather dropped to a windy 28 degrees. The mother plant and most of her others died. This one was barely hanging on to life. I put it in a small glass cinnamon jar to get the roots to start growing. Now it looks like I gave it steroids. Itβs thriving very well now. But hasnβt flowered yet. Itβs still pretty young however
@SirLiquorice Iβm so pleased theyβre thriving!! Well, I could not recommend a tin can pot more for your wee friend. Mine have never been happier!
@Nallon I will try that when I repot it. I may have to end up breaking this pot just to get it out. Itβs happy right now so Iβll probably wait a little while
@foliagegirl thank you so much π₯Ήβ¨π±
@Nallon no worries! The photographer in me has this one stand out the most in my eyes π€
