Day 30. #propogation #snakeplant
@Plantbasedzoophilist Iโ€™m propagating mine in soil, fingers crossed that they grow roots like yours are. Iโ€™ve been propagating mine for about 3 weeks now. So far mine are still living. I have mine under a grow light as well. I have to monitor the moisture level, fingers crossed that they are growing roots. Congratulations on your propagation. โค๏ธโค๏ธ
Those roots look crazy good! And like they might eat you. ๐Ÿฅฐ
@KristyGoldblatt I'm sure yours have grown huge roots! also thankyou for the help with queries!
@Sasquatch haha,thanks!
Wow them roots are long for 39 days, youโ€™ve done well. I tried to propagate mine but I didnโ€™t let it callus before I put it in water and eventually it went soggy :(
30* days
It looks like a sea monster if you turn it sideways!! This is awesome progress for 30 days!!
@dylan1stokes thankyou,also,i didn't let it callus too,the one that i did let callus is a slowgrower. when the leaves started rotting i cut the ends and placed them out of water for 2 days:)
I'm sure it'll work out next time
@Kiersten my mum says that too! thankyou!
@Plantbasedzoophilist yeah I would like to try again, but not sure why it went so soggy
@Plantbasedzoophilist Oh you wonderful wizard of plants! ๐Ÿง™ Please share your secrets. Iโ€™m amazed! So fast and they look strong and healthy! I have one for 90 days just hanging out in a little pot of water. Iโ€™m thinking of recutting it. You went straight from cut to water? No callous?
@Hypsie
๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ thankyou!
also,yes,no callous.
i went from individual terracotta glasses,noticed no progress so switched to plastic transparent cups and i think the weather helped a lot,it's been so sunny lately,though it's winter!
@Hypsie Good luck with your propogation! this is my first time propogating a plant so i wasn't much helpful with your question,but best of luck!!
@Plantbasedzoophilist Thank you oh great one! Iโ€™m grabbing my scissors to try again โœ‚๏ธ
ThankYOU! you've made me feel so much better about the propogation! goodluck! I hope your leaves grow health roots :)
Wow! Look at those roots baby!! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜
Awesome!! Did you cut stem on an angle? Is this all one piece?
I was about to chop her again, but then I saw, could it be, roots??
Very nice
That's a complete rooting like I've never seen before ๐Ÿ™‚
Weโ€™re gonna need a bigger boat! ๐Ÿฆˆ but in all seriousness, looks awesome!
Amazing! You just gave me inspiration to cut off a piece of my snake plant and propagate it! gotta wait for it to callus now.
@Erica thankyou!
@user3337
thanks! it's all one damaged leaf.
i went around my neighborhood asking for a leaf,but no one had the heart to pluck one out,which is totally okay,and then i went to a gardener who told me i could have one dead leaf if i payed for a snakeplant,which i did,I'm not sure about the angle,he just plucked out a leaf that had already drooped...
@Hypsie I'm not sure but that's how mine looked 2 days before showing roots,maybe wait for a few days before chopping... i don't have much knowledge on propogating and snakeplants though,this is my first time propogating,i hope someone better answers your question,and that you have huge roots!
@TinaRedchic
Thankyou!
@JCR

@Plantbasedzoophilist Thank you! You have a green thumb for sure! Roots Roots Roots!
@Nicholas Thankyou,and,great!
