Can you spot the donkey tail babies?

Can you spot the tiny babies? I love these as they are super easy to prop. Just twist off a leaf and drop it in your pot, then be patient and water your plant as usual 🫢 #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #SpringIntoSummer #fallintowinter #IfIWinGiveMyPrizeToGordo #SucculentSquad

You have several babies. They are so cute. 😍
Question, are you continue to water do the tiny props rot from absorbing too much water? Or do they dry out from the sun? Lol this is my problem when propping mine 🫠
@AguaViviente Nope they don’t rot. If you look at my soil it’s a very airy mix, lots of perlite and bark. They’re also in a tiny terracotta pot. I need to water them once a week because it dries out so quickly. Hope this helps!
Maybe it’s my climate, but smaller sedums do not prop well where I am. They dry up if I do that, the only way I’ve successfully been able to prop is by water prop first, then soil. And it takes forever! I’m so jealous this method works well for you. This method words for larger sedums and echevaria for me.
@calvina Maybe a more water retentive soil would be better for your environment? For props anyway? Or using a cabinet to maintain some humidity? Or is it the heat? Sorry I’m trying to imagine where you live? Haha desert biome I’m presuming?
Yeah, very dry. Which makes it perfect for succulents and why I have a succulent garden in my front yard. It thrives there. I just can’t propagate smaller sedums by normal methods. Not complaining at all. Luckily there are so many ways to propagate them.
@calvina That’s awesome, your garden must look amazing! So much colour 😍 How are general houseplants in your home? Pothos eg. do they struggle with the lack of moisture?
