Bonsai or Broke?!
Ok. So I’ve either just made a huge mistake or a calculated cultivation move!
A local friend is moving and invites me to choose some plants that the family can’t fit into the new place.
He specialises in the most incredible bonsai, utterly stunning trees in pots that he has also made (sickeningly talented 😤!).
After spending almost an hour in the shed talking aggregate mixes & methods, I left with a boot/trunk full of plants, small bags of different substrates & toppers, & a 50L bag of 2-4mm Leca!
Some plants are going to friends, some I’ll propagate but I’ll take pics of my new ones & put the on here when I can, together.
Today he sent me before and after pics of one of his Crassula ovata jade bonsai after a trim. Being an ADHD creature of impulsivity I decided todecded to have a go.
I don’t know how I feel atm.
Please send green love and light to my little friend in support of his new journey 🤗🙏 He had been repotted in the summer but I hadn’t updated his pics, so they’re inc here, just so that you can see the beautiful new grown that I just chopped off! 😳
